Job Description:

PAK BioSolutions is seeking a Software Engineer to develop new tools, algorithms, and control strategies related to the company’s product offerings. PAK BioSolutions designs and manufactures advanced manufacturing equipment used in the biopharmaceutical industry for the purification of biologics. PAK BioSolutions is located in Tysons Corner, VA.

Responsibilities

• Develop new data visualization tools with advanced analytics
• Integrate new control strategies into system automation software
• Handle large datasets and optimize data retrieval
• Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs from PLC or GUI programs
• Become an expert on the architecture of the PLC program used in the manufacturing equipment
• Work using git/GitHub repositories

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• Minimum GPA of 3.5
• 5+ years of industry experience
• Experience with GUI development libraries such as Tkinter, PyQt, or others
• Ability to use git/GitHub repositories
• Prototyping/wet lab experience
• Strong time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Any knowledge of the bioprocessing industry and unit operations
• Any experience with FactoryTalk View Site Edition and Studio 5000 or other PLC programming languages
