Job Description:

PAK BioSolutions is seeking a Director of Business Development to support the growth of the company. The individual in this role will identify new clients and introduce them to the PAK product offerings. They will attend conferences and trade shows, identify and follow up with customer leads, and develop and maintain relationships with clients. The individual will become an expert in the company’s product offerings. They will work closely with technical application specialists to assist with customer training and ensure customers are provided the necessary expertise. The ideal candidate will have a background in biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and a working knowledge of the typical unit operations used in biopharmaceutical production.

Responsibilities

• Drive pipeline creation and sales execution for the business.
• Identify key targets, select outreach efforts, and refine sales process.
• Attend conferences and trade shows through the U.S. and Europe to identify new customer leads and provide opportunities for interactions with existing contacts.
• Host introductory meetings to introduce the company’s technologies to new clients with support from technical representatives.
• Reach out to and maintain communication with current and potential clients through in-person meetings, video conferences, phone calls, and emails.
• Perform monthly pipeline reviews and report out to company leadership.
• Identify and communicate product issues, complaints, and potential improvements to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, or another relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry commercial landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business leads and close sales to new and existing customers.
• Knowledge of standard unit operations in biopharmaceutical production, including chromatography and filtration.
• Communicates clearly to and develops relationships with potential and current clients.
• Ability to travel to customer sites on short notice, and willing to travel up to 30% of time.
• Strong time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday to Friday
• This role may be remote with quarterly on-site visits at PAK BioSolutions headquarters in Vienna, VA
• Work will consist of up to 30% travel to customer sites, conferences, and tradeshows
